We at Loafer Bread are looking for a trustworthy individual to work as a kitchen hand or cleaner on our small team. The job will need some simple food preparation, dishwashing, all-around cleaning, and mopping. Ideal candidate would have a deep interest in food and an eye for detail. While not required, prior kitchen experience is a plus. To cover other staff members as needed, you should ideally be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in addition to an occasional weekend day.
The shift would last from 2 to 5 p.m. Kitchen Hand, dishwasher, and cleaner staff duties include cleaning dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; sweeping and mopping floors; taking out garbage; and stocking supplies. They may also be responsible for preparing food, such as chopping vegetables or making sandwiches. Kitchen Hand, dishwasher, and cleaner staff usually work in restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, or other institutions with commercial kitchens.
Some Kitchen Hand, dishwasher, and cleaners are employed by private households. Most Kitchen Hand, dishwasher, and cleaner staff work part time. The role of a kitchen hand is to assist the chef in the preparation of meals as well as keeping the kitchen clean. Dishwashers are responsible for washing the dirty dishes used in meal preparation.
