The infection rate reached 31.8 percent in Nepal of the new corona virus. Corona virus infection rate is increasing at a high rate in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the infection rate, which was around 2 percent on January 6, has reached 31.8 percent by January 1.
An additional 4,636 people were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus on Saturday. Corona testing of 14,556 people confirmed the infection in 3,703 people through PCR method and 933 people through antigen method. Out of this, the infection rate through PCR method is 35.6 percent and the infection rate through antigen method is 22.5 percent.
Currently, the number of active infected people in Nepal is 21 thousand 584. According to the ministry, there are more than 500 active infected people in seven districts. These include Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan and Kaski. Similarly, more than 200 people are actively infected in eight districts. The most active infected are in Kathmandu.
There are 9 thousand 61 actively infected people here, 2 thousand 382 in Lalitpur and 1 thousand 371 actively infected in Bhaktapur. In the last 24 hours, 1591 people have been infected in Kathmandu alone, 486 in Lalitpur and 142 in Bhaktapur.
In the same period, another 350 people have been freed from infection. Out of the total number of infected people in Nepal, 816,003 have become infected. With the addition of infected, the recovery rate in Nepal has reached 96.1 percent.
Four more corona infections have died in the last 24 hours. The death rate of Kovid-19 is 1.4 percent and so far 11 thousand 617 people have died in Nepal. An additional 4,35,193 people across the country have also been vaccinated against Kovid-19.
